About the ASKS Report Card ProjectIn 2011, Action Hepatitis Canada (formerly the Canadian Coalition of Organizations Responding to Hepatitis B and C) called on the Canadian Federal, provincial and territorial governments to adopt measure that address the international and national viral hepatitis epidemic from a public health perspective. More specifically, AHC urged the Canadian government to adopt a fully-funded coordinated national strategy for both hepatitis B and C that:
As a way to obtain a snapshot of the state of the nation with respect to these “Six Asks”, AHC prepared a report card which identified what was successfully achieved as well as gaps that had to be addressed, and used this information to develop a grade reflecting the current (at the time) performance of the Canadian federal, provincial and territorial governments. This report card was updated in 2012, with another progress report compelted in 2014. |
